About us

Our mission is to bring you quality gaming content, from a setting that's a little special: the beautiful Daintree rainforest in the Far North East of Australia. But it's been a mission getting here!

Going rogue

Until recently, we worked professional jobs in the big city.

Realising that the corporate grind was not for us, we packed what we could fit into our cars and drove 3,200km (2,000 miles) to the tropical top end of this epic country.

We wanted adventure, and it really is wild. The oldest tropical rainforest in the world, the Daintree is home to all manner of creatures... from the cute and fluffy (like the mini kangaroos called "pademelons") to the largest crocodiles in the world!

Gaming in the jungle

Part of escaping the grind was having more time for the things we love... and that includes gaming. We're into games like Classic WoW, Terraria, Diablo, Factorio and Minecraft and will be sharing our in-game adventures here as well as on our YouTube channel.

Still, it's sometimes tough to find time for games when there's other adventures to be had, but as any gamer knows, somehow you manage ;)

Finding purpose

But we weren't just after a change of scenery and more game time; we needed a purpose.

We discovered that what we really want is to give back: to this beautiful place that we now call home... and to the online communities that we've called home for years.

We've spent countless hours on wowhead, icy-veins and gamepedia. We've run to youtube or google with just about every problem we ever had. And we practically owe our lives to stackoverflow.

So after a lifetime of lurking, it's time to contribute! We've started this page to share our hints, tips and hacks for all our favourite games.

Since our past lives have gifted us a few useful skills, we'll be paying special attention to the places where a little coding can go a long way to supercharging your gaming experience... we call this programming to win.

Longer term, we hope that this project will allow us to dedicate time for volunteering at the many local groups working to keep this place - and all its inhabitants - awesome.
